Welcome to Pops Spedster's Place, where special education teachers, parents and students will find instructional supports and accommodations for people with intellectual disabilities resulting from low incidence and acquired impairments. At Pops Spedster's Place, we use Developmentally Appropriate Instruction (DAI) to teach academic and functional skills related to developmental assessments and Common Core State Standards.

THIS PAGE CONTAINS A SERIES OF WORKSHEETS THAT CAN BE USED TO PREPARE PERSONAL PREFERENCES INVENTORIES. THESE CAN THEN BE USED TO DESIGN INSTRUCTIONAL UNITS AND IEP GOALS THAT CONSIDER THE INDIVIDUAL NEEDS OF EACH STUDENT.

STUDENTS WITH LOW INCIDENCE DISABILITIES OFTEN ENJOY WORKING TOGETHER IN A SMALL GROUP, ON THE SAME ACTIVITY. IN THIS CASE, STUDENTS WITH LIMITED WRITTEN LANGUAGE ABILITIES CAN CUT PICTURES FROM MAGAZINES AND GLUE THE PICTURES TO THE WORKSHEETS.
